Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
Traumatic Brain Injury, or TBI, is a sudden, life-altering injury to the brain caused by a fall, a vehicle accident, a sports impact, a violent assault, or a workplace incident. From mild concussions to severe brain trauma, every TBI case is different and so is every recovery. Some individuals regain full independence; others live with lifelong cognitive, physical, behavioral, or emotional changes that reshape daily life.
For agencies running a TBI program, the responsibility is significant. Coordinating rehabilitation, behavioral support, medication management, vocational services, and family communication for a single individual often involves a multidisciplinary team. Paper records, disconnected spreadsheets, and outdated systems make TBI case management slower, riskier, and more frustrating than it needs to be.
